ARM operates through two manufacturing plants – one at Athi River near Nairobi and the other at Kaloleni at Mombasa. The Head Office of the company is located at Chiromo road, Westlands, Nairobi.
The Cement Division operates from Kaloleni and has an installed capacity of 120,000 tones per annum of clinker manufacturing 360,000 tonnes per annum of cement grinding capacity for both OPC and PPC grade of cement. The company services the building industry through extensive distribution system throughout the country.
The company is the first cement manufacturing company in Kenya to receive ISO 9000:2001 certification for quality for its cement and lime plant in Kaloleni.
The Industrial Minerals Division operates from Athi River plant and has installed a capacity of 60,000 tones per year. The minerals mined and processed by Arm are used as raw materials in over 50 industries like the paints, foam mattresses, adhesives, rubber footwear, plastics, PVC products etc. ARM is a market leader in this segment and has an over 70% market share in the minerals market.
The Lime Division
ARM has an installed capacity of 75,000t per year in Kenya for manufacture of Hydrated and Quick Lime which is used in road construction, sugar refining, water treatment, leather tanning, Gold Mining industries etc.
ARM has set up a plant in Tanzania which has a capacity of 20,000tpa servicing the Gold Mining, Sugar and road construction industry. A new vertical shaft kiln is being set up which would take the total capacity in Tanga to 60,000 tpa for manufacture of Lime. Both Kenya and Tanzania plants have hydrating units.
